At Krush Kandy, we believe your jeans should feel just as good as they look, which is why denim sizing based on real measurements makes all the difference.
When you understand your numbers and use our size chart properly, finding the right fit is easy, comfortable, and confidence-boosting from the very first wear.
MEASURING TO FIND YOUR PERFECT SIZE
Accurate measurements are the foundation of any reliable size guide.
Your tape measure should sit snug against your body without digging in. If it feels tight, it’s too tight. If it slips, it is too loose.
FIND YOUR NATURAL WAIST
Your natural waist is where the jeans sizing magic really begins.
Stand up tall and give a little side bend. That tiny crease that pops up is your natural waist. It’s usually the narrowest part of your torso and right around your belly button.
Now, straighten up and wrap the measuring tape around that spot, keeping it level with the floor. Let it sit snug, with just enough room to slip one finger underneath.
Breathe, relax, and let the number reflect your real, everyday glow. That’s the measurement that leads you straight to your dream jeans.
MEASURE YOUR HIPS ACCURATELY
Your hip measurement is what gives your jeans that curve-loving fit through the seat.
Stand with your feet together and wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips and butt.
Keep the tape level with the floor all the way around your body. Take a quick look to make sure it’s lying flat and not bunching up in the back. This number is your secret weapon for choosing the right size with total confidence.
DETERMINE YOUR INSEAM
The inseam is your length moment. It decides whether your jeans hit right at the ankle, kiss the top of your shoe, or show off a cute, cropped look.
The easiest way to measure your inseam is with a pair of jeans you already know and love. Lay them flat, smooth them out, and measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
If you’d rather measure on your body for a pair in a new style, stand tall and have someone measure from the top of your inner thigh down to where you want your jeans to land.
Lock in this measurement, and your jeans will complement your height just as well as they flatter your shape.
UNDERSTAND YOUR RISE
Rise decides how high your jeans sit.
To figure yours out, take a pair of jeans you reach for on repeat and measure from the crotch seam straight up to the top of the front waistband. This is how we can help you determine which style suits you best.
-
Low-rise is usually around 7 to 8 inches and sits below the belly button for a throwback feel.
-
Mid-rise sits around 8 to 10 inches and lands right at or just below the belly button, making it an easy, everyday go-to.
-
High-rise measures 10 inches or more and sits at or above the belly button, giving you that waist-accentuating silhouette.
STRETCH VS RIGID DENIM CALLOUTS
Fabric also plays a huge role in how your jeans fit in the moment and after hours of wear. Finding the right pair is not only about matching numbers on a chart. The material tells you how that pair of jeans will behave once it’s on your body.
RIGID DENIM
Rigid denim like our Palazzo Wide Leg Denim Pants is 100% cotton, and it starts out firmer, gradually softening as you wear it in. There is very little stretch, so choosing the right jeans from the size chart really matters.
If you’re between two sizes on the size guide, consider how close you want the fit and whether you prefer a little extra room.
STRETCH DENIM
Stretch denim like our VERVET The Jeans of Your Dreams High Rise Vervet Bootcut Denim blends cotton with a small amount of elastane or spandex, typically 2-5%. But that tiny percentage makes a noticeable difference. The fabric moves with you and keeps its shape throughout the day.
With super stretchy styles, you might consider going down one jeans size if you like a more sculpted fit that stays put.
Taking a moment to read the fabric details before picking your jeans helps you use the sizing guide more accurately and make smarter decisions about denim sizing from the start.
HOW TO USE FILTERS TO SHOP AT KRUSH KANDY
Once you’ve got your measurements, shopping becomes a totally different experience. Our filters are your new best friend, sitting right there on the right side of the screen, ready to narrow your search down in seconds.
You can choose to see only in-stock styles, head straight to denim and jeans, select your size from XS to 3X, and set your price range from $0 to $98. With just a few clicks, you can find your perfect fit without scrolling through styles that don’t suit your size or budget.
NOT A PERFECT MATCH ON THE CHART?
It’s completely normal if your measurements don’t line up perfectly with a single row on the Krush Kandy size chart. Real bodies are beautifully unique, not neatly boxed into a single set of numbers.
If your waist points to one jeans size and your hips point to another, go with the size that fits your largest measurement. You can always have a waistband taken in, but adding fabric where there isn’t any is a much bigger challenge.
Rise plays a part here, too. High rise styles rely more on your natural waist measurement, while low-to-mid-rise cuts sit closer to your hips. This means that the numbers may guide your final pick in the size guide.
If you have a smaller waist and fuller hips, keep an eye out for contoured or no-gap waistbands. They’re designed to curve in at the top while still allowing space through the seat, so your jeans feel tailored to you right off the rack.
FIND THE FIT THAT LOVES YOU BACK
One-size-fits-all does not apply to denim. The magic happens when you match your real measurements to our chart, follow the sizing guide, and understand how fabric affects jeans sizing.
At Krush Kandy, we cater to everybody. You’ll find your perfect fit in denims sized XS to 3X
